Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria

The Jetty Road Glenelg E-commerce grant aims to assist businesses located within the Jetty Road precinct by providing an affordable way to reach more customers through a shopping cart facility linked to the Jetty Road business directory.

Funds Available

Funds of up to $2,000 are available to assist businesses with the development of an E-commerce function within your business website. 

If you currently don't have a business website the funds can be used to develop a website incorporating an E-commerce function. 

(*Please be aware funds are available subject to the Jetty Road Glenelg E-commerce grant budget allocation for the relevant financial year) 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Businesses must be located within the Jetty Road Glenelg special rated levy area 
  • Provide a current ABN
  • Demonstrate the need for an online E-commerce facility 

Funds are not available for:

  • Business E-commerce sites not connected to the Jetty Road and Holdfast Bay business directory 
  • Businesses operating outside of Jetty Road Glenelg 

Applications will be assessed according to:

  • Applications must be lodged via the electronic form (unless a request for hard copy version)
  • Demonstrate the need for an E-commerce site

Application process

  • Only applications that meet the criteria will be considered 
  • The City of Holdfast Bay will determine the final grant approvals
  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application

Grant Requirements

  • Recipients must sign a Grant Agreement which details the terms and conditions of the grant prior to funds being provided 
  • Funds must be spent according to the terms outlined in the Funding Agreement.  Any changes must be submitted to Council in writing for approval
  • Ethical business practices must be demonstrated so as not to bring Council into disrepute 
  • Successful applicants must acknowledge the City of Holdfast Bay in any publications or publicity regarding the project
  • Council reserves the right to utilise photos and promote and publish your project on the City of Holdfast Bay website and use images in Council publications and marketing material on an ongoing basis 

Important Information

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All applications must be received on the Council approved application form and submitted electronically (unless otherwise agreed)
  • The proposed project must be completed within an agreed timeline
  • Only one proposal will be considered by each applicant 
  • Canvassing or lobbying Councillors, employees of the City of Holdfast Bay is not permitted

 

Application Timeframe

Applications are open to any businesses that meet the requirements outlined in these guidelines and are subject to the availability of budgeted funds by the City of Holdfast Bay in the relevant financial year.

Publicity

Council has the right to arrange photographs, video recording or similar on completion of the grant project, for the purpose of showcasing on its website and/or other publications.
